BT plc are an acknowledged provider of world class telecommunication products and services that span the entire globe. Perhaps less well known is that, in the UK alone, they also manage an estates network consisting of circa 7000 highly strategic buildings that underpins their core service delivery. The sheer scale of control and monitoring processes required to manage such a network elevates BT to the pinnacle of estates management. ADAM are proud to be an element within those processes.
In 1997, in conjunction with consortium leader Fujitsu Telecommunications Europe Limited, ADAM were selected as best in class for BT's Power Energy Management Platform (PEMP) programme. The ADAM 5000 product suite was chosen to be installed in each BT network building for the control and monitoring of essential services including HVAC, power management, security and metering equipment.
The programme continues to the present day and provides BT with visibility of essential building services status across the entire UK network - from a central location. Continuous improvement as technology has advanced has enabled new features to be added to existing platforms automatically, via BT's network, without the necessity of costly site visits.
ADAM continue to work with BT as an essential element in their service resilience programme.
